Thanks to all the competitors and helpers for a great turnout last Sunday (17th Aug), it’s a real pleasure to see the good spirited competition between our clubs and be amongst the techy talk and banter.
The weather was a bit unpredictable, but the showers did little to hinder progress. As usual, the ‘Bincombe Wood’ wind did its best to make things interesting, particularly on the first dozen or so targets on the FT course.
And a few recent tweaks to the HFT course ensured that we were all took out of our comfort zone for some of the targets. Wouldn’t want to make it too easy would we!
Thanks to Sheila’s Wagon, who did a great job in keeping us fed and watered and then there was the CAKE!
A big thank you to Louise, SDFTC’s Youth Ambassador, who took it upon herself to contribute to the days enjoyment by labouring some two and a half days to produce her ‘pièce de résistance’, a replica BSA R10.
Apart from looking amazing it tasted amazing too – well done.
There are a good selection of photos from the day in the gallery, kindly supplied by our own David Bailey’s, David Smith and Stuart Heath.
Looking forward to Buckley Woods on the 14th September.
